Your body corporate committee

Working together for YVES. Meet the owners elected to look after the building between general meetings.

What the committee does

The committee represents the body corporate and looks after the administration, maintenance and management of common property.

Its work includes building operations, financial management, service contracts, maintenance priorities, compliance and longer-term improvements. Members are owners who volunteer their time and are elected each year at the annual general meeting.

Our focus is good governance, accountable financial management, effective building operations and protecting the long-term interests of YVES.

Committee members

Elected at our first annual general meeting in March 2026. The next AGM is planned for late March 2027.

How the committee works

Chairperson

Chairs committee and general meetings and keeps decisions moving.

Secretary

Prepares agendas and notices and handles committee correspondence, with SSKB's support.

Treasurer

Oversees budgets, levies, expenditure and the body corporate's financial position.

Members

Share the committee's decisions and lead on particular projects.

What the committee can and can't decide

Under Queensland body corporate law, the committee makes decisions between general meetings within set limits. Larger spending above the major spending limit, by-law changes and certain other matters must go to all owners at a general meeting.

Raising a matter or a motion

Any owner can raise an issue with the committee by email, or submit a motion for a general meeting through SSKB. Day-to-day problems are best logged in MyBos so they can be tracked.
